After what felt like a lifetime hiatus, I have picked up a paintbrush again. And much like nothing i’ve painted before, this series has sparked something new in my soul, resulting in something new on the canvas. Using all oil, this series is being made with a sense of embracing uncertainty and easing into the unknown. Though this time, uncertainty is not scary, but rather, quite divine, and the unknown, is not quite seen but perhaps just not yet found.

Moving to Santa Barbara has given me the inspiration i’d been searching for, which was inside of me the entire time, waiting to be explored. It has given me hope. It has given me peace. It has given me joy. In whatever happens next. I hope you can find pieces of that in the colors and the shapes. In the specs and the blobs. In sun or in fog.

And most importantly I hope you can find it within yourself.
